Multimedia Classrooms

This is a simple guide to utilizing the multimedia classrooms, if at any point you need more assistance or find a problem please contact Engineering Computing Services.

Using the Projector

  1. Lower the projection screen.

  2. Turn the overhead projector on with the remote control, press the "On" button twice. Please note that the projector may take several minutes to warm up.

  3. Log into the PC.
  4. To turn the projector off press the "Off" button twice, this will power down the projector. The fan in the projector will continue to run until the fan is cool.

To Use the Computer

  1. Log into the PC using your KU Online ID in the "HOME" domain. (These computers are limited to use by students and faculty of the School of Engineering, if additional people require access please contact Engineering Computing Services.)

  2. When finished please log out of the computer.

To use a Laptop

  1. Located on the top of the cabninet are video, audio, and network cables for laptop use. Simply connect these to your laptop.

  2. After the laptop is connected push the button next to the cables so that the light next to the laptop icon is illuminated.
