<title>Three Alumni Earn School of Engineering&#xE2;&#x80;&#x99;s Top Honor</title>

<description>&#x26;lt;p&#x26;gt;The University of Kansas School of Engineering and its Advisory Board will honor three of the school&#xE2;&#x80;&#x99;s alumni for careers that exemplify professional achievement.&#x26;lt;/p&#x26;gt;
&#x26;lt;p&#x26;gt;On Thursday, May 8, Stanley Englund, Midland, Mich.; Charles Salanski of St. Joseph, Mo.; and Michael Shinn, Shaker Heights, Ohio, will receive the Distinguished Engineering Service Award at the Kansas Memorial Union. The award was created by the KU School of Engineering Advisory Board in 1980 to honor engineering alumni, or engineers who&#xE2;&#x80;&#x99;ve maintained a close association with the school, for their outstanding contributions to the theories and practices of engineering research and development in new fields of engineering, or direction of an organization that has made exceptional contributions in design, production and development.&#x26;lt;/p&#x26;gt;</description>

<title>EWB Organizes &#x27;Rockin For Relief&#x27; Concert</title>

<description>&#x26;lt;p&#x26;gt;The University of Kansas chapter of Engineers Without Borders is hosting a benefit concert to raise money to help cover the costs of its humanitarian projects. &#x26;lt;/p&#x26;gt;
&#x26;lt;p&#x26;gt;&#xE2;&#x80;&#x9C;Rockin&#xE2;&#x80;&#x99; for Relief&#xE2;&#x80;&#x9D; will start at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Bottleneck, 737 New Hampshire St. During the concert, a prize drawing will be held featuring items donated by local businesses, including Z&#xE2;&#x80;&#x99;s Espresso, Arizona Trading Company, the Third Planet and Waxman Candles. &#x26;lt;/p&#x26;gt;</description>

<title>SELF Students to Hold Tasty Fundraiser</title>

&#x26;lt;p&#x26;gt;Students in the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows Program at the KU School of Engineering will hold a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 26, to benefit an area camp for children with spina bifida. The all-you-can-eat pancake feed will be in the Engineering Courtyard between Eaton and Learned Halls on the KU campus.&#x26;lt;/p&#x26;gt;</description>
