Outside Scholarships

Posted notices

Engineering students are encouraged to visit the Dean's Office regularly to learn about other scholarship opportunities that arise throughout the year.

The Dean's Office regularly receives notices from donor organizations unaffiliated with the university that make scholarships available to engineering students. These opportunities cover a variety of engineering disciplines, situations or student needs. Information about these outside scholarships is routinely posted in the Dean's Office.

Some applications for outside scholarships are available in the Dean's Office. Most often students must contact the donor for applications. In all cases, applications must be returned directly to the donor organization.

Additional scholarship opportunities for minorities and women

The Office of Diversity Programs is able to help engineering students and prospective engineering students find scholarship information and applications from sources outside the university. Some of those organizations include:

  • NACME, the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering
  • SWE, the Society of Women Engineers
  • NSBE, the National Society of Black Engineers
  • SHPE, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
  • AISES, American Indian Science and Engineering Society
