Scholarship Renewals
Some scholarships awarded through the School of Engineering are
automatically renewed provided students meet minimum requirements.
Automatically renewed means students do not need to fill out a new
application every year, but rather must submit the scholarship renewal form to the dean's office.
Freshman Scholarship Renewals
Those who receive scholarships as entering freshmen may be offered
renewals for four years provided the following criteria are met:
Fall 2006 entry or later:

Must maintain a 3.4 grade point average or higher
-
Must continue enrollment in the School of Engineering in an
engineering curriculum within an engineering department
-
Must continue to make progress (15 credit hours per semester)
toward an engineering degree and follow the department's
curriculum guidelines
Fall 2005 entry or prior:
-
Must maintain a 3.4 grade point average or higher
-
Must continue enrollment in the School of Engineering in an
engineering curriculum within an engineering department
-
Must continue to make progress (12 credit hours per semester)
toward an engineering degree and follow the department's
curriculum guidelines
Transfer Scholarship Renewals
Those who receive scholarships as entering transfer students from
U.S. colleges and universities may be offered renewals for five
semesters provided that the following criteria are met:
Fall 2006 entry or later:

Must maintain a 3.4 grade point average or higher

Must continue enrollment in the School of Engineering in an
engineering curriculum within an engineering department

Must continue to make progress (15 credit hours per semester)
toward an engineering degree and follow the department's
curriculum guidelines
Fall 2005 entry or prior:
-
Must maintain a 3.4 grade point average or higher
-
Must continue enrollment in the School of Engineering in an
engineering curriculum within an engineering department

Must continue to make progress (12 credit hours per semester)
toward an engineering degree and follow the department's
curriculum guidelines
Diversity Program Scholarship renewals
Diversity Programs scholarships may be renewed for up to four years
provided the following criteria are met:
Fall 2006 entry or later:

Must maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher

Must continue enrollment in the School of Engineering in an
engineering curriculum within an engineering department

Must continue to make progress (15 credit hours per semester)
toward an engineering degree and follow the department's
curriculum guidelines
Fall 2005 entry or prior:

Must maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher

Must continue enrollment in the School of Engineering in an
engineering curriculum within an engineering department

Must continue to make progress (12 credit hours per semester)
toward an engineering degree and follow the department's
curriculum guidelines
Non-renewable scholarships
Most School of Engineering scholarships awarded to upperclass
students are not automatically renewable. A new application is
required each year for:
- Bowman Scholarship
- David Scholarship
- Engineering Achievement Scholarship
- Engineering Ambassador Scholarship
- Johnson Research Assistantship
- Study Abroad Scholarship
- Zinn Scholarship
