Welcome to the BMES KU Chapter's Website


BMES is an engineering society dedicated to the application of engineering principles to medicine and biology. The society strives to encourage professional growth of its members through annual conferences, publications and career services, and to promote the biomedical engineering field.

Meetings

 

March 30th at 6:15 pm (3152 Learned)

April 27th at 6:15 pm (3152 Learned)

 

Member dues $10 for the whole year or $5 per semester (see Kayleigh after the meeting).  This fee works out to $1 per meeting to cover the costs of pizza/subs and drinks.  Definitely worth it!  Also, there are free t-shirt drawings.

If you wish to join the national BMES, the member fee is $30.

 

Upcoming events

 

The Relay for Life will be held Friday, May 1st

We are teaming up with the Bioengineering Student Council to participate in the annual walk to raise money to find a cure for cancer. Go to www.relayforlife.org and search by zip code. Our event is the event sponsored by the University of Kansas on May 1st. Our team name is Biomedical Engineering Society. April 1st is the deadline to join and still get a t-shirt. Please join and start raising money!
