Research Interests and Projects

My main research interests are: (1) Sustainable Design and Project Planning, (2) Eco-efficiency, (3) Technical Metabolism, (4) Energy Efficiency, (5) Sustainable Information Modeling, (6) Socio-Economics of Eco-Efficient Communities, (7) Corporate-Society Sustainability Interface, (8) Life Cycle Performance, (9) Social and Human Dimensions, (10) Carbon Baseline Estimating, (11) Carbon Management, and (12) Carbon Taxation and Cap and Trade.

I have also secured or collaborated on projects such as Professional Development for the Estimating Professions, Business Operations, and Life Cycle Analysis Research. My publications are mainly in the areas of building defects, sustainability, lean and sustainability, and social-human dimensions.

First and foremost, you will need to be academically prepared to take on challenging tasks of establishing new cutting edge research areas. My key research focus is in areas that are not yet established or is very new, but it is very challenging and requires extensive amount of efforts. I expect my students to be extremely committed to the good cause of the world.
